From a young age, I recognized the significance of preserving memories and the history of my family. Before I had a camera I tried to save moments in my mind. At the age of 5 I remember experimenting with purposefully remembering a moment by closing my eyes and telling myself to remember this moment. It was at Belmar Beach (NJ) with my family in 1992. Documenting the graceful countenance of my mother, the humorous disposition of my father, and the radiant smiles of my siblings became a personal mission to safeguard these cherished memories.
